Whiteflies are homopterous insects of the order Hemiptera They are piercing and sucking insects: this activity begins at the 3rd larval stage.
Aphids are very polyphagous pests. Adults are winged or wingless (the colonies set on the plants are essentially wingless). They are 1-5 mm long, with a globular shape, and can be of different colours: yellow, green, brown... . Aphids are characterised by antenna and rostrum on the head, cauda and cornicles on the extremity of the abdomen.
One of the main pests on rose foliage, thrips are small, pale yellow to brown insects.
Mites are very harmful to the foliage. Population outbreaks are very quick, favoured by warming and low humidity conditions. Contaminations are due to plant contact and human transport.
